The RED staff has unique expertise and understanding of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Standard 62.2, Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality in Residential Buildings. We have developed a compliant RED tool for each edition of 62.2 since 2007, including the unique California edition of Standard 62.2. Additionally, the president of RED, Rick Karg, has served on the ASHRAE 62.2 committee since 2007. In 2016, we were awarded the contract to write the ASHRAE 62.2-2016 User’s Manual.

RED staff is called on to train and consult across the country on ASHRAE 62.2 and residential ventilation design and installation. Because our RED 62.2 design/calculation tools are the most popular in use, we receive many support questions regarding the compliant use of the ASHRAE 62.2 standard, making us aware of the issues the users in the field are having with the Standard.
