Controlling Airflow in Existing Dwellings
The concept of “controlling airflow” is discussed in this video with a Savings-to-Investment Ratio (SIR) calculated. Controlling airflow includes 1) air sealing to reduce air leakage and 2) installing mechanical ventilation according to ASHRAE 62.2 to control the amount of fresh air from the outdoors.
